Tandoori Salad

Garden fresh vegetables and fruits marinated with tangy spices and grilled on bar be que

Ingredients                                                     

25 gms Onion diced

25 gms Capsicum diced

25 gms Bell pepper diced

25 gms Tomato diced (Seedless)

25 gms Boiled sweet potato diced   

25 gms Pineapple cubes

25 gms Apple cubes

25 gms Guava cubes                                                 

2 gms Roasted cumin powder

25 gms Dried pomegranate powder

5 gms Fennel seeds (Broiled & crushed)

5 gms Crushed peppercorn          

10 gms Jaggery powder

2 gms Dried mint powder

Rock salt to taste      

10 gms Hung yoghurt

1 nos Lime juice

15 ml Salad oil                                                     

Method

In a bowl, take all the powdered spices, salt, jaggery, and salad oil and rub well.

Add hung yoghurt, lemon juice and mix properly, ensuring the yoghurt is creamed well.

Mix all the vegetables and fruits properly.

Keep it aside for 15 minutes.

Take SS skewers, and pierce in the marinated vegetables and fruits on the skewers.

Take a pre-heated bhatti (charcoal bar-be-que), and cook it on the bhatti for 5-6 minutes. Baste it with melted butter.

Serve it with mint chutney.

Note:

Take hard fruit. Avoid ripe fruit.

Broil all the spices a la minute and grind it.
