Eat Healthy & Stay Fit

The term healthy food generally means light food, food with nutritional value, beneficial for the human body, keeping extra kilos away from you, helping you stay healthy, fit, and so on….. All these are beyond a normal healthy diet required for human nutrition.

Healthy food is sometimes also used generically for natural foods, organic foods, and whole foods. Health food may also refer to functional food: foods for which a specific claim of health benefits is made, such as that consumption of certain foods may prevent specific diseases.

In today’s life, many of us are becoming very health-conscious, and people who are very critical about their fitness and wellness like to eat healthy food like sandwiches, salads & soups, steamed food, etc. It’s a portion of comfort food for them.

In general, all the comfort foods are flavorful and easily eaten, having soft consistencies.

Eating light and healthy food keeps you fit and charged up. Whenever we talk about any kind of food, people look up to chefs.

I love to cook healthy food or food that benefits the human body because of our ancestral secrets of healthy food and the medical technique ‘Ayurveda’. As per Ayurveda, every ingredient has its own medicinal value, as long as we cook it properly, and at the correct time of the season.

These days finding out such food is challenging, and there are few chefs with that kind of in-depth knowledge of Ayurveda and Vedic food.

The easiest way to get healthy food these days are sandwiches, salads, soups and so on, all this food is available in all the five-star hotels and good restaurants.

You can eat anything you wish to as long as it’s eaten in a specific quantity; anything in access is bad for the human body in some way or other.

Some of my personal healthy comfort food favourites are:

Chicken clear soup or consommés with vegetables

Fresh greens and raw vegetables with vinaigrette

A wholesome sandwich with crisp lettuce, veggies and top it up with some smoked poultry fillets

Steamed fish with roasted garlic chips, ginger, and light soy sauce

Pan-seared Pomfret with fresh basil, garlic, and olives

Roasted chicken with steamed vegetables and a light jus

“Stay healthy, be fit and let the good days roll in our lives.”
